PRECISION SHAFTING
SDP/SI machines high-quality shafting, available off-the-shelf or made to your exact needs. SDP/SI specializes in Swiss machining, milling, tapping and drilling in aluminum, stainless steel, steel alloys, and titanium.
Custom precision shafting can be made to meet your specifications:
• 1/32" to 1-1/2" diameters
• Tolerance: +/-.0001”
• Straightness: Up to .0003”/Inch
• Length: Up to 12 feet

A wide range of Shaft Accessories are offered by SDP/SI. Precision and commercial quality shaft/hub clamps are available in.many different styles and sizes for fastening gears, pulleys and dials to a shaft. Shaftloc® fasteners are easy to reposition, easy to assemble, applicable to small shaft diameters and are cost effective. Other shaft accessories offered are shaft reducers and extenders, telescoping miniature ball splines and bore reducers, inch to inch reduction and inch to metric reduction.

Precision Fairloc® Shaft Collars with integral bearing shim spacer provides more holding strength than set screw collars. Fairloc® Shaft Collars are offered in.brass, black oxide finish and stainless steel for 1/8 up to 3/4 size shafts.

No tools are required when using Fastlock Shaft Collars. Slide the stainless steel collar to the correct position onto the shaft. It is now locked in.place. To release, hold body of collar and pull release ring. This allows the collar to be easily removed.

Stainless steel telescoping miniature ball splines are compact in.design and feature zero backlash, low inertia and accommodates 1/4 axial motion. These spines may be mated to the S57PY5-… and S57PY4-… series of universal joints to make telescoping universal joints.
