New Hyde Park, NY - Designatronics, Inc., (www.designatronics.com) a leading manufacturer of small mechanical components, announced today the release of a new shipping module in its Stock Drive Products/Sterling Instrument (SDP/SI) online store.
The SDP/SI eStore catalogs and sells over 100,000 unique mechanical parts and also supports engineers with helpful tools, such as CAD and 3D drawings and diagrams to help them achieve their goals, on time and to their specifications.
The new shipping module uses real-time calculation from UPS servers, based on the weight and delivery location of the order. It gives SDP/SI eStore customers the ability to see and compare the cost of various shipping services prior to checkout, therefore making a more informed buying decision.

The new shipping calculation module is the first in a series of major improvements for Designatronics' eCommerce operations, which includes the consolidation of its five brands' individual eStores into one eStore, enabling customers to purchase components from each brand in a single transaction.
